There are many boards in Pakistan and they are conducting examination and other education is provided by schools but that was not the condition when Pakistan was formed. There are still many remote areas those are not able to provide education to the people and they have to move to other cities for education. When Pakistan was formed education in Punjab was under the Punjab university that was there to conduct examination but then government established board and at first board that was formed in lower Punjab was Multan board but then it got over loaded and it gave rise to another board that is Sahiwal board it is formed on 15 June, 2012 by Higher Education Department of Punjab (HED).

This board was formed with the main purpose to conduct examination and provide education to following classes those are 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th so that after that students can start their higher level of education. This board is not so small but there are many areas those come under the board as jurisdiction of the Sahiwal board is so vast. This board conducts examination for 5th and 8th class these are not necessary but students appear in them for practice and for that reason Punjab education commission that is PEC was formed in the year 2005 to conduct and manage examination for only 5th and 8th class.

There are many government and private areas those are affiliated with the board and examination are conducted there. Sahiwal board conducts examination for matric that is 9th and 10th in the month of march and April and after that students wait for results that will be declared in the month of June and July and it will be displayed on the official website of the board and also we will display that so that students can check it.

Before examination students need to get themselves registered with the board that should be in the month of January and forms are made available and also online on the official website of the board. After that students can get their roll number slips and also date sheets so that it becomes easy for them to appear.
