This board was formed and it is covering many areas it is not just confined to one place and in those areas this board conducts examination main objectives and the aims of the board are to conduct examination for 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th it was for that students can start their higher studies after that. This board also conducts examination for 5th and 8th class although these examinations are not compulsory but students appear in them and for that reason in the year 2005 Punjab education commission that was PEC was formed to conduct and coordinate examination for only 5th and 8th class.

This board conducts examination for matric that is 9th and 10th class in the month of march and April and many students appear in those examination as after that they wait for results as that will be declared in the month of June and July that time is near and the result will be declared on the official website of the board and also we will display the result for the board.

Before examination students need to get themselves register with the board and those forms are posted to the affiliated colleges and online on the official website of the board after that students receive their roll number slips and also date sheet.
